Sherry Powers Realtor®
Sherry realized she was destined for a career in real estate after buying and selling her first house. “I knew I could do it and enjoy it,” she says. Since then, she has absolutely loved the freedom, meeting so many people from diverse backgrounds, and helping people realize their own dreams of home ownership.
Sherry’s previous work experience has definitely helped her to become the outstanding Realtor that she is today. For many years, she worked as a registered dental assistant, as a law firm administrative assistant, and in the food and beverage industry so she could pay for her own college education. She now holds a Bachelor’s Degree from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Pepperdine. Sherry also holds a SIG Designation, which she pursued in order to develop strong skills in the community and learn more about contracts, ethics, and selling skills.
Three years in the HR and recruiting industry taught Sherry how to talk to a wide variety of people from all walks of life. Her 16 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry honed Sherry’s salesmanship skills, and her six years in business development and recruiting in higher education taught Sherry many of the business skills she would need later on in her real estate career.
Sherry brings a broad range of innate talents and skills to every transaction she handles. From her extensive background selling and working with people, to her formal education and work experience handling contracts, Sherry is a person who gives her all. “I’m here for you long after the close of escrow,” Sherry states emphatically. “I work hard for and care about my clients, they are my priority, not my commission check.”
Of course, everyone in Sherry’s community already knows about her commitment to community. Sherry serves at her local church as much as possible, as well as hosts Bible studies in the home she shares with her husband. Reading the Bible and other literature are important activities for Sherry. In her free time, Sherry enjoys walking, running and bicycling with friends, family and Buddy, the family dog. Her current interest is training to climb Mt. Whitney, which she hopes to do in just a few months. Sherry supports a number of non-profits and also belongs to Business Women's Network of the Temecula Valley, Christian Business Partners and other networking groups. When you're ready to buy or sell your next home, contact Sherry Powers.
